MNM is the solo project of Mark Norman, a versatile multi-instrumentalist with a deep-rooted passion for music that began in the mid-90s when he discovered his father's old guitar tucked away in the basement. That spark led to a lifelong journey through sound and style.
While studying in college, Mark picked up the bass and had the opportunity to learn from a world-renowned upright bass professor while earning his minor in music. Since then, he's carved out a rich musical path, performing across genres including rock, jazz, funk, bluegrass, and Americana.
In addition to his solo work as MNM, Mark is an active member of several bands including Gin Mill Hollow, Old Soul Society, Jazz Hams, and UP!. His playing is shaped by a wide range of influences such as Tom Petty, Paul Simon, Neil Diamond, The Wood Brothers, Norah Jones, and Charlie Hunter—artists known for their authenticity, groove, and emotional resonance.
Whether solo or in collaboration, Mark brings a deep musicality and seasoned sensibility to every stage he steps on.
